WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
  • O’Keefe Media Group released undercover footage featuring Abdul Beckwith discussing overseas donations to Michigan Democrat Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed.
  • Beckwith acknowledged that overseas donations are not allowed and described a hypothetical arrangement involving money passing through a family member.
  • El-Sayed’s camp said Beckwith has never been employed by the Abdul for Senate campaign.
  • Beckwith cursed at James O’Keefe and had to be restrained during a heated confrontation over the allegations.

James O’Keefe was nearly physically assaulted during a heated confrontation with Abdul Beckwith, the man identified in an O’Keefe Media Group video as a Regional Field Organizer for Michigan Democrat Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed. Beckwith ultimately had to be restrained during the wild encounter, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

The confrontation followed the release of an undercover video by the O’Keefe Media Group on Monday. The organization said the footage showed a campaign official admitting that El-Sayed knowingly receives illegal campaign donations from overseas.

Foreign nationals are prohibited from making campaign contributions. That restriction became the central issue as Beckwith discussed people overseas donating to El-Sayed and acknowledged that such contributions are not allowed.

“You know, he [Abdul El Sayed] has people from overseas that donate to him,” Beckwith said in the undercover footage released by the O’Keefe Media Group.

Beckwith was then asked whether donations from overseas were prohibited. His answer was direct: “No, it is not allowed,” according to the footage presented by O’Keefe’s organization.

Beckwith went on to describe a hypothetical arrangement in which money from overseas could pass through a family member before reaching its intended destination. His comments appeared to outline how such a transaction might be structured.

“And then people overseas give money to him. And then he gives money to you. It’s that type of thing,” Beckwith said while explaining the hypothetical arrangement.

The O’Keefe Media Group characterized the footage as an admission that El-Sayed knowingly receives illegal foreign donations. The video placed Beckwith’s comments at the center of a serious controversy involving the Michigan Democrat Senate candidate’s campaign.

Later Monday, however, El-Sayed’s camp disputed Beckwith’s connection to the campaign. The camp said Beckwith has never been employed by the Abdul for Senate campaign, directly challenging how he was identified in the undercover report.

That denial created a sharp dispute over Beckwith’s status, but it did not erase the statements captured in the video. O’Keefe later confronted Beckwith directly about what he had said regarding overseas money and El-Sayed.

The encounter quickly became heated. Beckwith lashed out at O’Keefe as the journalist pressed him about the statements recorded in the undercover footage and the allegations involving foreign campaign contributions.

“I don’t give a f*ck who you are, bro!” Beckwith said to O’Keefe during the confrontation. The angry response came as O’Keefe continued attempting to question him about the overseas donation claims.

Another person identified as an Abdul staffer then warned O’Keefe that police would be contacted if he continued. “We’re going to ask for one more time, and then we’re going to have to call the cops,” the staffer said.

O’Keefe continued shouting that El-Sayed was taking money from overseas. The confrontation escalated further, with Beckwith trying to assault O’Keefe before being restrained, according to the account accompanying the video.

The chaotic scene unfolded after Beckwith had been recorded acknowledging that overseas donations were not allowed and discussing a hypothetical method involving a family member. O’Keefe’s questions focused directly on those recorded comments.

El-Sayed’s camp responded by denying that Beckwith had ever been employed by the campaign. The source account did not provide any additional campaign response addressing Beckwith’s specific statements about overseas money or the hypothetical family arrangement.

The result was a politically explosive clash combining undercover footage, disputed campaign ties, allegations involving illegal foreign donations, and an angry confrontation. Beckwith’s profane outburst and the need to restrain him only added more chaos to an already damaging spectacle.
