Glenn Beck says President Donald Trump is pursuing a multi-layered strategy in the Russia-Ukraine conflict that could end the war while advancing several other U.S. priorities, including securing rare earth minerals, reducing dependence on China, lowering military spending, and weakening the relationship between Moscow and Beijing.

Beck characterized Trump’s approach as a form of strategic maneuvering that allows multiple parties to claim success while delivering concrete benefits to the United States.

"All right, I want to show you a chalkboard or a whiteboard here on the 3d or 4d chess that President Trump is playing. Nobody gets it. This guy is a genius, and the EU just shot themselves in the foot; it'll work to America's advantage, I think."

He said Trump’s broader goals include ending long-running wars, putting American interests first, reducing government waste, strengthening U.S. technology and artificial intelligence capabilities, and containing China’s global influence.

"Some of his goals: end the never-ending wars, put America first, reduce spending, reduce waste and corruption, tech and AI, and box China. Make sure we're still a superpower."

Beck argued that Russia has failed to achieve its original objectives in Ukraine and said Trump is offering Russian President Vladimir Putin a way to end the conflict while still claiming victory.

"He's offering a deal where Russia has. Be honest, Russia lost. Okay, everybody knows that. Nobody's saying that, but it's true. Russia was supposed to be able to go in there for two weeks and take all of Ukraine."

He argued that Ukraine’s resistance demonstrated Russia’s military limitations.

"Ukraine is not a NATO ally. Ukraine stopped them. Now we helped, but it wasn't NATO, so you don't need that. Because really, if you can't beat Ukraine, you think you're going to beat Poland and all of NATO? That's ridiculous."

Beck said Trump’s strategy would allow Putin to point to an end to the fighting and economic benefits as a political victory.

"Russia lost, but Trump is offering him a way to let him claim victory. He can claim victory. The war is over."

At the center of Beck’s argument is access to rare earth minerals, which he said are essential to maintaining American leadership in technology and artificial intelligence.

"Plus, the money doesn't talk; it screams. We are after rare minerals. Rare minerals is going to do this for us. Tech AI. We cannot exist without rare minerals."

Beck said American reliance on China for those materials presents a strategic vulnerability.

"70 to 90% of them come from China. Now they got a lock on rare minerals. You're not going to be the world leader if we don't have them."

He connected that concern to Trump’s interest in Greenland, saying its resources could also play a role in reducing U.S. dependence on China.

"That's why Trump said maybe Greenland should be the 51st state. No, no, they weren't interested. But if this falls apart, Greenland, look out! You could be the 51st state."

According to Beck, Trump could pursue mineral agreements involving both Russian-controlled territory and Ukraine.

"He wants to box China. He wants to put America first, end the war, reduce spending. Okay, what he's doing is he's offering to buy the rare minerals in the Russian now Russian part of Ukraine."

Beck argued that such an arrangement could give Putin an economic incentive to end the conflict while also creating distance between Russia and China.

"Putin's going to like that. It ends the war, and he can say he won because he's taking money now. It also, on our side, weakens the relationship between Russia and China."

He said the United States would not need to trust Putin completely for the arrangement to have value.

"That relationship, China's not going to be for all of that, and we've made an enemy a frenemy. Putin, you can't trust him, but better to have a relationship like this than to be saying that we might going to go into nuclear war."

Beck said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky could also claim victory because Ukraine survived the war and would gain new economic opportunities.

"Here's Ukraine. Let Zelensky claim victory because Russia lost. So he claims victory. He gets a secure Ukraine."

Rather than relying on NATO membership or American troops, Beck said economic ties could provide Ukraine with additional security.

"Why? Not because we put boots on the ground or he's become a NATO member, but because we want to buy his rare earth minerals as well, so that will help them with money rebuilding."

American companies, he said, could participate directly in reconstruction and mining projects.

"We'll send people in, companies will come in, they'll build the mines, they'll build all the everything. So Ukraine will make money, Russia will make money."

Beck said the United States would benefit through cheaper access to strategic minerals while cutting China out of the arrangement.

"We get rare earth minerals at a much cheaper level, and China is no longer involved at all, and it's again reduced our dependency on China."

He also argued that ending the conflict would stop the continued flow of American money into Ukraine.

"Also, it stops our money pipeline, which, gee, reduce waste and corruption. Hmm."

Beck said Europe could have benefited from the strategy by taking credit for helping contain Russia while rebuilding its economy.

"Okay, the EU, you blew this, guys. It would have allowed you to let the EU claim victory. NATO did it. We won. We held him back. It would have stopped the war, restored their economy, secured their economy, and Europe. You'd be relevant again."

He mocked the idea that Europe could guarantee peace primarily through military deployments.

"Okay, nobody's afraid of you. Boots on the ground. What are you? The French just going to actually leave boots on the ground because nobody's going to idiots."

Beck said Trump’s proposed framework would rely on economics rather than military coercion.

"And here's what we get out of it. Tell me this is a problem for anybody. We are again a world leader by brain, not our military. No muscle in this. We're not coercing anyone. Everyone can win from this."

He listed the potential outcomes as reduced dependence on China, greater access to rare earth minerals, lower NATO costs, a stronger Europe, and an end to the war.

"You box China, you get the rare earth minerals. We're forward-thinking for once. Less money to NATO. Europe is stronger. No war. America wins with no losers."

Beck concluded that the strategy aligns directly with Trump’s stated priorities.

"Let's see: reduce spending, put America first, end the never-ending wars. Gee, yeah, Donald Trump's an idiot. This guy's a fricking genius, and this is the first time I've seen a president actually stand up for America first, without hurting everyone else. We all win."
